As an Infrastructure Engineer (Database), you will help customers by developing/publishing solutions to help modernize their databases and warehousing applications. This includes solutions to help automate, manage, and handle infrastructure. You will provide direction on how to tailor the mechanisms used to secure and deploy workloads reliably and safely to production. You should have deep understanding in various database systems like Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and have experience migrating them, along with Data warehousing systems like BigQuery, Hadoop, etc.
In this role, you will communicate with businesses to help them adopt Google products and solutions wherever they are on their cloud journey. You will explore and experiment with our suite of products, partner tools, and third-party applications to build and deploy cloud solutions.
Requerimientos
<b>Preferred qualifications:</b>
- Understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization, global infrastructure, hypervisor technologies, networking, data storage, and security.
- 6 years of experience as a technical consultant, technical pre-sales engineer, enterprise architect, or in a customer-facing role.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems in on-premise/data center environments to Google Cloud.
- Experience with database technologies and database administration techniques.
- Experience with optimizing database performance with respect to transactional or analytic workloads.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) and data backup strategies.
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT Technology space.
