The PMO Manager role at AlfaPeople is a strategic position within the global Project Management Office, responsible for ensuring project management quality across 800 ongoing projects worldwide. Reporting to the Vice President of Services and Solutions, the PMO Manager will identify high-risk projects, provide hands-on support to project teams, and continuously improve methodologies, tools, and processes to maintain AlfaPeople’s reputation for excellence in delivery.
As a PMO Manager, you will join AlfaPeople’s global Project Management Office (PMO), a team of seven highly skilled professionals. This team designs and governs the high-level processes and tools used by AlfaPeople’s delivery departments worldwide. Beyond developing frameworks, you will play a key role in documentation, training, and ensuring compliance with established standards across local organisations.
Within the PMO team, your primary focus will be Project Management Quality. You will work closely with the practice owner to mature guidance for project managers, strengthen operational delivery, and most importantly, identify projects that need intervention—and help them succeed.
You will report to the Vice President of Services and Solutions, who reports to the Chief Services Officer (CSO). As Delivery Managers in each country also report to the CSO, this structure provides the authority and empowerment needed to drive change and enforce compliance globally.
Key Responsibilities
• Use existing governance tools and processes to identify projects requiring PMO attention among 800 ongoing engagements.
• Collaborate with project managers on challenging projects to keep them on track.
• Investigate troubled projects with Project and Delivery Managers, resolving issues and restoring stability.
• Contribute to the continuous development of AlfaPeople’s project model, tools, and supporting materials.
• Enhance project management processes to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery.
• Work with the Global PMO team to maintain a respected, value-driven function within AlfaPeople.
• Advocate for PMO practices, processes, and tools across the organisation.
• Be a super-user for the existing D365 Project Operations and Power BI reporting.
