Scope of responsibility:
The Jr. Underwriter will help the Underwriters to process applications by obtaining relevant documents and client information so that the underwriter can assess their eligibility, and maintaining accurate records on all applicants and approval processes.
Build Relationships: Point of contact with other areas (bound accounts, claims, collections, underwriting).
Mentoring: Underwriting & Underwriting Seniors, will be closed with the Leader.
Operating Efficiencies: Review and validation of the Terms & Conditions of the original policy for endorsement sealing and sending to the broker. Notification to endorsements. Prioritization of underwriting notes.

Download of administrative and operational workload of subscribers.

Accountabilities for the role:
Responsible for underwriting and structure line products.
Review of portfolio to obtain information.
Review of business reports.
Ensure compliance to underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures while keeping informed of industry standards and new initiatives.
Assist in the development of new industry Underwriting requirements and policies based upon performance characteristics and variables.
Perform Underwriting adjustments to maintain eligibility guidelines and future performance criteria.
Assist in the implementation, on-going reporting, and performance of new product developments.
