As an LTL Sales Representative, your main responsibility is to generate sales in the less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation industry. You will be responsible for selling shipments that don't require a full truckload, which is where the term "less-than-truckload" comes from. You will work with both current and potential customers to determine their shipping needs, and then use your knowledge of the industry to develop a customized plan that will meet those needs. You will also be responsible for negotiating prices, setting up contracts, and maintaining positive relationships with your customers.

Responsibilities • The LTL Representative communicates daily with customers carriers to ensure all shipments are traced, and updated within internal TMS in a timely fashion • In addition to working closely with the members of operations team and customers – LTL Representative will work in various web- based systems to monitor and resolve customer-related service issues • Provide excellent support to our LTL customers; serves as a liaison between carrier and customer • Conduct business reviews with LTL customers • Escalates and assists team members with order issues as required, including but not limited to missed pickups/deliveries, delivery exceptions and OS&D • Organize and consolidate workload to complete efficiently and effectively • Identifies and owns carrier invoice audit; resolves shipment and billing issues with carriers, follows through to resolution • Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time Skills and Knowledge • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Multitasking and time management skills. • Analytical and problem-solving skills. • Efficient data entry skills. • Attentive to detail Required Abilities • Attention to details. • Team building • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy. • Ability to quickly learn to navigate transportation management systems. • Ability to prioritize Systems • TMS • Load Boards • Tracking Tools • Microsoft Office Suite • Soft Phone
